Motor
• The Electro Plus has a 1200 Watt Miele Vortex Motor and an incredible 118 cubic feet per minute (cfm)!  The high airflow can be attributed to the high performance motor and the sealed system that Miele provides on all their canister vacuums. 
  

Filter System
• The Miele Cat/Dog comes standard with the Active Air Clean Filter. The Miele Active Air Clean Filter. is a charcoal filter that combines with the electrostatic Super Air Clean filter to provide excellent filtration in addition to absorbing the odor that is often present in the vacuums of pet owners.  This filter will make a noticable difference in the dog odor permiating from your Miele vacuum cleaner.  The Active Air Clean Filter. will retain 99.95% of particles down to 0.5 of a micron (only 1& 1/200th the width of a strand of human hair) and has a life of 50 hours or 12 months of use.
  
  Prior to the exhaust the majority of the dirt will be caught in the double layer HyClean FJM™ dustbag, then any fine dust particles will pass through a pre-motor filter.  The pre-motor filter will catch all dust particles that may be too large to safely pass through the Miele vacuums motor.  Last the remaining dust particles will pass through the Active Air Clean Filter.
