Improved Technology: If you ever used the older style Miele GN bags, the IntensiveClean style, you remember how challenging the cardboard dustbag collar that closed the bag could be.  Well, leave it to Miele to redesign their bags to eliminate this slight inconvenience.  The new redesigned GN bag has a different style dust bag collar.  This bag collar has a plastic flap that actually closes automatically when the vacuum lid is opened.  When the lid is closed shut, the very end of the hose presses the plastic flap open and allows the vacuum to work.  When the plastic flap is open, the colored hygiene seal, integrated into the new collar, assures a tight fit and prevents dust from escaping past the collar.  Miele is truly a company concerned about the air you breathe. 

Protective Netting: The new style GN vacuum cleaner bags have been reinforced with a netting on the inside and the outside of the bag.  This netting gives the bag additional strength.  The new GN bags are less likely to tear from being to full or a sharp object being vacuumed up and penetrating the bag.

We know the Miele bags were built well before and most Miele owners have probably never even experienced a bag tearing.  The new GN bags just take this quality one step further.

Airflow Guides: The new style GN bags have been redesigned with airflow guides inside the vacuum bag.  These airflow guides work with the incoming air as it passes through the vacuum cleaner bag.  The dirty air is channeled and allows the bag to continue to function even as it is getting full.  The new GN bags will give you a larger dirt capacity, up to 25% more!

Finally, the airflow guides also assume the role of the impact protection foil used on the previous dustbag version, preventing sharp, pointed objects from perforrating the bag.

In comparison to IntensiveClean Plus dustbags, suction power loss with a dust quantity of 400 grams has been reduced by 33%. This means that a HyClean dustbag lasts much longer than an IntensiveClean Plus bag.
